We’re looking for a highly organised, commercially aware, and proactive Commercial Assistant to support our growing sales function. What You Will Be Doing 

Sales & Customer Support 

  • Be a key point of contact for customershandling queries on products, pricing, availability, and orders  

  • Support Account Managers with onboarding new customers and maintaining strong relationships  

  • Help deliver high level of service in a fast-paced environment  

  • Assist in preparing quotes, tenders, and pricing proposals  

Pricing & Commercial Administration 

  • Keep pricing accurate and up-to-date in line with fast-changing market conditions  

  • Monitor cost price movements and flag margin risks early  

  • Ensure pricing consistency across systems, invoices, and agreements  

  • Support promotions and price file distribution  

Order & Supply Chain Coordination 

  • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure product availability  

  • Communicate stock issues, shortages, or substitutions to customers quickly  

  • Support seasonal product changes and supplier transitions  

  • Assist with order processing to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery  

Data & Commercial Insights 

  • Produce regular sales and margin reports  

  • Analyse customer performance, product trends, and profitability  

  • Maintain accurate price lists, product catalogues, and commercial data  

  • Provide insights that help shape commercial decisions and strategy  

Administrative Support 

  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, pricing, and communications  

  • Prepare data for internal meetings and reporting  

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and food industry standards  

What We Are Looking For 

  • Strong numerical and analytical skillsyou’re comfortable working with pricing and margins 

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic analysis) 

  • Strong communication skills: you can work confidently with customers and internal teams 

  • Ability to prioritise and stay organised in a fast-moving environment 

  • Commercial awarenessexperience in FMCG, wholesale, or fresh produce is a big plus 

Your Experience 

  • Experience in a commercial, sales support, or admin role (food or FMCG preferred)  

  • Exposure to fresh or frozen produce is advantageous  

  • Familiarity with ERP or stock systems is a bonus  

  • A-levels or equivalent required (degree beneficial but not essential)
